When the stars aligned at Tithe Barn

That initial fuzzy feeling

You know when you just get that feeling that things are going to go well today? Well, on Fi and Lawrence’s wedding day I happened to go with my instinct. It turns out it was very much warranted!

I remember being in the car on my way to the Tithe Barn, windows down, music turned up, sun shining, and thinking yep, today’s going to be a very good day.

These guys were onto a good thing from the off. I’m talking the perfect combination of great things: the best team of suppliers, beautiful weather, Fi’s awesome dress (one of my favourites this year – big sleeves are the one!) and, in my opinion, one of the most stunning wedding venues Yorkshire has to offer … the Tithe Barn near Bolton Abbey. Fi already had the biggest, most radiant smile, and this bobby dazzler of a wedding day meant she had plenty to smile about!

One pesky seagull..

As you can imagine, a day bursting with superlatives had to have at least one mishap, and that came about just after the wedding ceremony. As all the guests were enjoying some fizz and canapes in the sunshine, the unexpected happened and a bird pooed on Fi’s head! But again, nothing was going to dampen that big beautiful smile (in fact, isn’t it meant to be good luck)?!

The incident was quickly forgotten as the bride and groom whipped out the ice creams (no, literally- they were serving their guests from a truck they hired)! Certainly the cherry on top of the perfect summer wedding.
