That’s the reason I include engagement shoots free of charge to get to know you both before the wedding day. It’s why, before every wedding, I learn the names of your parents and bridal party so I can put names to faces. And it’s why I carry safety pins, scissors and an emergency umbrella so you know you’ve got a friend in your corner when things might not quite go as planned.
Over the past 10 years, I’ve photographed more than 300 couples tie the knot.
I won the award for outstanding customer service at the North of England Wedding Awards.
Your pre wedding shoot is the perfect opportunity to get you feeling a little more comfortable in front of the camera because, let’s face it, it’s not every day you have a photoshoot done with your partner!
We’ll get to know each other, chat through plans of the day, and take lots of different photos to get a better idea of what you do and don’t like ahead of the wedding day.
On the day itself, I’ll be there to capture all the excitement of the wedding morning, right through to that crazy dancefloor after your first dance together as a married couple. I’ll be capturing the natural moments as they unfold, as well as get everybody organised for those special group photos with your family and friends.
And of course, those all-important shots of you and your partner on the most exciting day of your lives. And by this point, you’ll be absolute pros in front of the camera after the engagement shoot!
When you’re enjoying some delicious food on the wedding day is when I’ll be preparing some very special preview pictures for you! You’ve spent months, if not years, planning this wedding, so the least I can do is get you a few photos for you to share with your nearest and dearest the following day.
Then within the next 8 weeks, you’ll receive your finished wedding photos in a password protected online gallery that you can look through to your heart’s content!

I have one simple package designed to capture all the magic of your wedding day. Coverage starts from getting ready in the morning (usually 2 hours before the start of the ceremony), right through to your first dance in the evening (and, of course, everything in between).
You’ll receive all of your edited images in a password protected online gallery for you to share as you wish with friends and family.
Included as part of the wedding photography package is a complimentary engagement shoot, to get you feeling more comfortable in front of the camera ahead of the big day. You can have your engagement shoot at somewhere that’s special to you, or alternatively I can recommend some lovely places. Please note that engagement shoots are available Tuesday – Friday throughout the year, and travel fees may apply outside of a 30 minute drive from Ilkley.
Being in two places at once is a skill I’m sadly yet to master. Thankfully, I have some amazing second shooters who can provide an extra perspective and some extra photos for you on the wedding day. A particularly valuable addition if you and your partner are getting ready in different places, and/ or if you have more than 100 guests.
How often do you sit down at your laptop and look through old photos? Probably not too often. And yet there’s something SO special about picking up your wedding photography album off the coffee table and flicking through it on a rainy afternoon. It’s a keepsake you can look back on forever, and one day pass down to your grandkids.
Absolutely! Much as I’m a Yorkshire girl at heart, I do love travelling and discovering beautiful new wedding venues. Whether that’s across the UK or even abroad, I’m always happy to hear what you may have planned for your big day. Travel fees may apply for those weddings that are slightly further afield.
I have always offered engagement shoots (or pre-wedding shoots) free of charge as part of all of my wedding packages. They are a brilliant way to get you feeling more comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding day which is why I think they are so important. Make sure to check out the couples page if you’d like a little more information!
Yes – a deposit is required to secure your booking, with the remaining balance due 2 weeks before the wedding day.
My full day package covers from getting ready in the morning until just after the first dance in the evening. There is also the option to add on additional evening hours if you’d like to capture more of that crazy dancefloor!
Yes – I have public liability insurance up to the value of £5m, and am happy to provide documentation to your venue upon request.
During the time you’re enjoying your wedding breakfast, I’ll be preparing some preview pictures for you to enjoy the following day! I’m sure you’ll be dying to see some of the shots which is why I always aim to send you some photos within 24 hours. Please note I can’t guarantee a preview gallery if speeches are taking place between courses on the day!
You will then receive your full gallery within 8 weeks of the wedding.
Not only is she a highly talented photographer she’s also just an amazing person.
Throughout the whole process of planning the wedding and the day itself it felt like we had another friend with us rather than somebody who was there to do a job, which also really helped with relaxing us and getting even better photos. All of our bridesmaids commented on how lovely and helpful she was and said they couldn’t have imagined the day without her.
And the photos! WOW! We hired Lily because we loved how colourful and vibrant her style is she didn’t disappoint. We are blown away by the quality and we have had so many comments from friends and family about how good they are.
If anybody’s weighing up different options for photographers, please take my word for it that Lily is the one!”
