Over to Leeds for prep
On the morning of the wedding I arrived at the Queen’s Hotel in Leeds to photograph Millie and her bridesmaids, who were emerging off the back of a Nigerian style engagement party the night before! We had such a fun morning chatting away about the day ahead. Saltmarshe Hall was ready and waiting for all the guests to arrive, and I couldn’t wait to see the finished result – it really is one of my favourite wedding venues!
Time seemed to run away with itself and we ended up being 45 minutes late for the ceremony! Oops! The vicar wasn’t too impressed but thankfully it didn’t have too big an impact on the rest of the wedding day itself.
Make sure you check out some of my top tips to make sure your wedding morning runs as smoothly as possible!
Arriving at the beautiful Selby Abbey
Luckily, Pierce was remarkably calm when once his beautiful bride arrived at the abbey! Their ceremony was held at the stunning Selby Abbey; Millie walked down the aisle by herself and looked absolutely breathtaking with the grandness of the abbey as her backdrop. Something about the whole day just had the feel of a royal wedding about it.
After a few photos with the bridal party, we headed over to Saltmarshe Hall for the wedding reception. I got to ride in the wedding car with Millie and Pierce, which was great fun, and it meant I could get some photos of the bride and groom en route to the next luxury venue!
We arrived before most of the guests, which gave us plenty of time for some portrait shoots in the gorgeous Saltmarshe Hall grounds. Here, the styling was all about muted tones; elegant and simple.
Time for a second look for Millie!
After the wedding breakfast Millie got changed into her second outfit, which boasted a totally different aesthetic but looked equally incredible!
All that was left to do was to get the dancing started, and the guests did not disappoint! It really was a truly beautiful wedding at one of my all-time favourite wedding venues.
Thank you so much for having me guys!
