Wrapped up in time for Christmas
So you’ve had your Spotify Wrapped for 2025. You’ve discovered your listening age is 80 (naming no names). You may have even found out you were in the top 1% of Wagamamas customers on Monzo Wrapped (again, nothing to see here). But now it’s the moment you’ve been waiting for – it’s time for Lily North Wrapped.
I know, I know, I don’t know how you’ve managed to contain your excitement either. Perhaps you haven’t been able to contain it? But fear not, for the moment has arrived to take a deep dive into what has been another glorious year of photographing weddings. Make sure to stick around until the end for those all-important stats…
Winter
The year began as it does for most of us wedding photographers by coming out of hibernation. It is such a lovely perk of the job having a proper chunk of time off in Jan and Feb to recuperate ahead of another busy wedding season. I completed my annual paint-by-numbers, and making the most of the quieter months I put together a styled shoot with the lovely Kirsty from River and Rose!
We headed over to Saltmarshe Hall and put together a cracking day with two gorgeous couples. It was such a fab opportunity to inject a bit of colour into the grey winter months, and getting to work alongside some of my favourite suppliers in the wedding industry is always such a highlight.
Back in February I also launched my bridal boudoir shoots which I have just LOVED this year! Please take a look at the info page if you’re thinking of doing one, I honestly cannot recommend them enough. They’re such a confidence booster and make such a great gift if you’re struggling to know what to get your other half for a wedding present!
Spring
Wedding season properly kicked off in March this year, which saw me jetting off from sunny Yorkshire to Northumberland, Cambridge and Lancashire for my first weddings and engagement shoots of the year.
Spring is always a really popular time for engagement shoots, and this year I headed down to London to meet some of my couples and to make the most of the amazing sunny weather! This trip was a real 2025 highlight for me – I’d been looking forward to doing more shoots in London for a long time, and I’m so grateful to my couples who allowed me time to be creative and get the photos I’d imagined for so long!
Summer
June was my busiest month this year, and it was great to be back at some of my favourite venues like Tithe Barn, the Sun Pavilion in Harrogate and the Chilli Barn in Otley, as well as discovering some new places like Storrs Hall in the Lake District.
I took some time off in August this year to go to Switzerland with Harry, and it was one most certainly my favourite month for weddings (despite an unexpected visit to A&E!). The weather was incredible and those long summer days are always difficult to beat in my eyes.
Towards the end of summer I also photographed my first ever proposal! It was nerve-wracking as HELL but we absolutely smashed it. Despite the unrelenting Lake District rain, Nathan absolutely nailed it and we got some cracking photos at the Langdale Chase overlooking Windermere. Epic. A massive shoutout to the utterly fabulous Fern Dalton Photography who was there to keep me calm and take some extra photos for the happy couple! And hey, we got to unwind in our spa hotel afterwards so all in all it went swimmingly..
Autumn
This autumn it seemed like Middleton Lodge was the place to be, and I was not complaining! I LOVE that venue, and particularly with the autumn colours it is just magnificent. I really enjoyed photographing my last few weddings of the year, and we were particularly lucky with the weather despite some challenging forecasts!

Sorry but I bloody love a statistic. I keep a wedding spreadsheet of every wedding I have EVER done and it’s so pleasing to look back at them all from over the years! This month I photographed my 299th wedding (the big 300 coming early 2026!!). So let’s take a look at some of the numbers from another fabulous year…
Most photographed venue – it is of course Tithe Barn! No prizes there because some weeks I feel like I practically live there! To date it’s still my most photographed venue and I’m due to shoot my 25th wedding there early next spring. Mega!
Close behind Tithe Barn was of course Middleton Lodge and Goldsborough Hall.
Number of weddings photographed – 28 (in case you were wondering I accept between 25-30 weddings per year!)

2025 has been ace but I have to say I’m really, really excited for 2026; it’s going to be a big year. I’ll be turning 30, photographing my 300th wedding AND celebrating 10 years in business!! Woohooooo!
