Hi, I’m Lily! I’m 30 and I live in near Ilkley with my partner Harry. Although I was born in the Lake District (and it’s still my favourite place in the whole world), I’ve been a Yorkshire lass ever since I can remember.
Wedding photography has been a huge part of my life for the past 10 years, but I do allow myself plenty of time to still be ‘Lily’:
For me there’s nothing better than a walk in the country followed by an inevitable pub lunch (although a trip to Ikea does come in a very close second). I’m a huge Gavin and Stacey fanatic – I watch it every Christmas from start to finish and recently won a pub quiz on the topic. Last year I got into running and, though at the moment I’m a little slow, I really do love it. And I’m a firm believer that a trip to Salts Mill with a choccie fudge cake and a diet coke is a stellar afternoon out.

Currently halfway through ticking off all 214 Lake District Wainwrights!
Any excuse to go out for breakfast, brunch, and especially an all-you-can-eat hotel breakfast and I’m there.
I’m usually the person suggesting we play some kind of board game or quiz at any family gathering.

I’m pretty sure I was always meant to be a wedding photographer. I vividly remember as part of our primary school leavers assembly, we all had to act out what jobs we were going to have when we grew up. There were footballers, models, singers, but of course, I took on the role of photographer.
Taking photos has always been something I’ve loved, but I never expected to enjoy this job so much because of the people I was photographing. I just think my couples are incredible. In just over 10 years, I’ve photographed over 300 couples tie the knot, and each wedding day has brought me so must joy in so many different ways.
The weddings may vary in terms of location, colour scheme, weather and size, but something that tends to run through the core is how the enjoyment of the wedding is way more important than the perfection in the aesthetic. I love seeing how my couples manage to plan such beautiful weddings but with the love for your partner, friends and family at the centre.
Imagine travelling all the way from Australia to celebrate your wedding in the Yorkshire countryside! Imi & Paul brought the sunshine with them for the most glorious day at Tithe Barn, and the venue’s first outdoor ceremony.
